GEORACING launched its Virtual Timing and Ghost Visualization solutions as a world first during the TV broadcast of the WRC Rallye de France Alsace 2014 on CANAL + and SPORT +. Its graphics solutions enabled fans to virtually compare all the cars as if they had started at the same time. These unprecedented innovations improved the understanding of the program and the comments of the sports journalists during the live broadcast. The time gaps between the competitors were calculated at 1/10th of a second and were updated every second from the data of the GPS trackers integrated into the on-board cameras of the cars. These major innovations in live motorsport production were awarded with an IABM Design & Innovation Award at the IBC in Amsterdam, in 2014. Since then, this solution has been rolled out for digital, via a mobile app for non-televised rallies, in order to enhance the fan experience. End of 2018, GEORACING won the Grand Prix de France Innovation organized by the French Automobile Federation for its new innovation which aims to democratize GPS tracking for smaller events.
